Ambitious “My Town My Pride 2.0” concludes in Jmu

Scores of people visit departmental counters to avail on spot Services

Jammu :  The My Town My Pride 2.0 program concluded successfully in district Jammu Under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner AvnyLavasa and with untiring efforts of district officers from various departments.

Multifarious activities were held across all the Municipal areas of Jammu district on the concluding day. All the MCs organised camps at designated venues to spread awareness and impart training to stakeholders, besides conducting plantation drives, special sanitation drives and other activities.

The main event was organised at Gulshan Ground Jammu at which more than 40 departments put up their counters to facilitate the general public. Besides, the MTMP was also conducted at Town Hall, Convention Centre, PWD Guest House Gandhi Nagar, Engineering Institute ChanniHimmat and Auditorium of Polytechnic Shiv Nagar comprising five zones of JMC.

A large number of people visited these venues, gathered information regarding various government schemes and also availed on the spot services of different departments including Revenue, Health, Education, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Horticulture, Handicrafts etc.

At MC Khour, Visiting Officer Pawan Singh Rathore, Special Secretary Hospitality and Protocol, inaugurated a sports event,  inspected the development works and also handed over the land passbooks, house keys under PMAY, and other benefits to the beneficiaries under various schemes.

At MC GhoManhasa, Visiting Officer BalKrishan, DC Sales Tax (Judicial) distributed benefits  of PMAY, FCS & CA, Smart City Street Vending etc among the beneficiaries.

Campaigns against anti-littering, inspection of ongoing works and interaction with local residents was also held during the MTMP.

At Akhnoor, various   developmental works were started and also on site inspection was conducted at various locations. Several people were given on the spot benefits including land passbooks, domicile, house keys under PMAY, Auto under Mumkin and others alike.

At MC RS Pura, the activities included sanitation drives, distribution of property cards and holding of awareness camps. People were sensitised about cleaning and other government sponsored schemes.

At MC Arnia, the day witnessed activities ranging from anti littering awareness drive besides departmental awareness drive in different locations of the Arnia.

At MC Jourian, a mega camp was organized wherein stalls of health, social welfare, tourism, Ayushetc were installed where awareness was imparted among the general public about the schemes and programmes of the departments.

At MC Bishnah, an awareness camp where Health, Social Welfare, Revenue and other departments installed their stalls to educate people about welfare schemes and programmes offered by the departments.
