New Delhi: Union Minister for Law and Justice and Ministry of Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad today said that his Government has done a lot for the ease of doing business and will make suitable changes in The Specific Relief Act, 1963 and Indian Contract Act to make it more investor friendly.
Releasing a report on ‘Ease of Doing Business’ by NITI Aayog here today, Mr Prasad said that the work in on to prepare a suitable bill in this regard and the Government will try to bring in the amendments as soon as possible.
Law Minister said, “The present Modi led NDA Government is working on ease of doing business from day one and the said amendments will make doing business more easy in India.
” On India’s digital revolution, he said that there must be separate index to gauge the progress in this field to encourage states to be on top as it has done in manufacturing.
“I was talking about 1-trillion dollar digital economy, but it seems we are going to become 2-trillion dollar digital economy soon,” he said adding that digital economy needs to be pushed further.
