DC Srinagar reviews preparations for successful conduct of “My Town My Pride 2.0“ Prog

Srinagar :  In order to discuss the plan for smooth and successful conduct of second phase of My Town My Pride (MTMP 2.0) programme starting from 5th December to 06th December 2022, a meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner  Srinagar, Mohammad AijazAsad here on Tuesday  at Meeting Hall of DC Office Complex.

Vice Chairman LCMA, Dr Bashir Ahmad, who is also holding the charge of Commissioner, SMC was also present on the occasion.

While Additional District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Shabir Ahmad, Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Yaseen Lone, besides, Programme Officer, ICDS, GM DIC, Joint Commissioner, SMC, Secretary SDA, Secretary SMC, CMO Srinagar, SDM East/West, ACR, Superintending Engineers of PHE & R&B and all Zonal &Sectoral Officers also attended the meeting.

At the outset, a detailed discussion was held in order to ensure successful conduct of the My Town My Pride (MTMP 2.0). During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on activities to be conducted during the Shehri Jan Abhiyan like formulation of City Resource Mobilization Plan, City Livelihood Plan, City Beautification Plan, City Smart Vending Plan, City Tourism and Culture Plan, Green City Plan, City Anti Encroachment & Enforcement Plan etc.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the objectives of the programme and said that the programme is aims at to give the people a sense of doorstep governance, identify the target population for all service, individual beneficiary schemes in order to ensure that the targeted population is widely covered. He said MTMP 2.0 is a relation between Public and Administration to give boost to developmental activities and ensure the benefit of all social security schemes is reached to all genuine beneficiaries of the District through “Shehri Jan Abhiyan”.

The DC said on the outlines of recently concluded Back to Village-4 programme, the MTMP 2.0 ‘programme will also envisage time bound delivery of documents like domicile, income certificates, revenue services, besides ensuring benefits under various schemes including pensions, scholarships, PMAY-U, Golden Health cards, LadliBeti,etc through camps to be organised in all 35 Municipal wards of the District.

The DC also emphasised on conducting mass awareness regarding all Government sponsored public centric welfare and development schemes for overall socio-economic development of people in City and asked the concerned officers to use the MTMP 2.0 programme as a platform to generate awareness about various schemes/initiatives of their respective departments.

The DC also stressed the Officer to give focused attention towards youth welfare and Drug menace during the Shehri Jan Abhiyan campaign. He also asked that Officers and field functionaries of different Departments would also inform the public about the Government schemes and welfare programs and provide benefits to the common masses under these schemes.

The DC further asked the Officers of all line Departments to work in coordinated manner to ensure that the desired objectives of the programme are achieved. He asked the Officers to mobilize all resources and manpower for achieving the targets on deliverables in all 35 Municipal Wards of the District.
