Udhampur :: An inter department meeting was held on Tuesday in the office of Chief Agriculture Officer Udhampur.
Chief Agriculture Officer, Area Marketing Officer Horticulture Planning & Marketing Department Udhampur, District Agriculture Officer and Marketing Executive were present in the meeting.
It was decided in the meeting, to jointly make efforts to reach upto enterprising women, unemployed youth and farmers to make them aware about features of PMFME flagship scheme in food processing.
During the meeting, district heads of both the departments vowed to make available benefits of the scheme to local masses, especially among farming community. They informed that the PMFME scheme has a number of benefits including an easy access to finance, 35% subsidy on cost of machinery & technical civil works, complete hand holding for DPR, FSSAI license, Udhyam and GST Number along with support for packaging, labeling, branding and marketing. Already a number of loan cases stand sanctioned, under the scheme, in favour of women agriprenuers, farmers and unemployed youth in Udhampur district.
