New Delhi : With a view to encourage artistic talent amongst the children of rail-fraternity Railway Women’s Welfare Central Organisation (RWWCO) annually organizes an All India Railway Drawing & Painting Competition for the wards of Railway men and this year’s winners of the competition were also invited to Delhi for receiving the prizes at a function organized by the Organisation.
According to an official statement this year’s function was held on 23rd November at National Rail Museum Auditorium, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. On this occasion Meena Tripathi, President, RWWCO as Chief Guest gave away Merit Certificates & Cash Awards to winning wards of Railway men (47 in number) pecially invited to Delhi from various Railway Divisions, Zones & Production Units on Indian Railways. The names of the awardee children who secured top slots in each group are as under:-

The occasion also witnessed a cultural programme presented by railway artistes from Lucknow Division of Northern Railway. The performance was a mix of classical Kathak dance and motivational songs specially which were thoroughly enjoyed by all present. RWWCO is the apex body of the chain of women’s welfare organisations spread over all Indian Railways engaged in the task of welfare of railwaymen and their families through various need-based socio/welfare activities.
