Jammu :  Member Parliament Jammu-Poonch  Jugal Kishore Sharma on Wednesday chaired the   District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DDCMC) ‘DISHA’ here at PWD Guest House to review status and progress made under Central programs  in Jammu District.

MP (RajyaSabha) Gulam Ali; Chairman, DDC Jammu, Bharat Bhushan; DDC Vice Chairman, Suraj Singh; Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Any Lavasa; JMC Commissioner, Rahul Yadav, ADDC, Ramesh Kumar; CPO, YoginderKatoch; ACP, MeenakshiVaid; ACD, Preeti Sharma; Deputy Director Information (PR), Vikas Sharma, Members DISHA Committee, Anjali Sharma, Tara Chand and Sunil Sharma, besides other concerned district officials were also present in the meeting.

At the outset, the Member Parliament reviewed the action taken report of the previous DISHA meeting.

The MP took a comprehensive review of physical and financial achievements of centrally sponsored schemes PMGSY, 14th FC, RURBAN, AmritSarovar, PMGSY, JJM, MPLADS, B2V3, Languishing Projects, Ayushman Bharat, NRLM, PMAY-G,  MGNREGA, Swachh Bharat Mission, etc.

The MP also reviewed the achievements under various schemes implemented by the PWD, PDD, Jal Shakti Department, Agriculture, Horticulture, Education, Social Welfare, Labor Department, Urban Development Department and others.

The Deputy Commissioner gave a powerpoint presentation on the achievements and progress under different schemes and the status of the developmental projects being executed in the district by different agencies.

The Deputy Commissioner informed the Chair that against 498 works approved under B2V3, 460 works are tendered, 456 allotted, 406 completed and 37 are under progress, while against 5272 houses under PMAY-G, 4848 have been completed and against 153 works under RURBAN mission 92 have been completed.

The Deputy Commissioner further appraised  that out of total 8178 works under MGNREGA, 7228 are in progress, while 950 have been completed.

The Member Parliament was further appraised that  5421 candidates were enrolled under Himayat of which 4406 have completed their training and 2173 have been placed in different jobs, while 242 candidates are presently undergoing training.

Regarding Ayushman Bharat scheme, the Deputy Commissioner informed the MP that against 1171296 beneficiaries in Jammu district, as many 929512 have been registered and 928916 provided Golden Cards.

The chair also reviewed the progress of CRF projects being executed in the district and directed the officers to closely monitor the pace of work.

Regarding MPLAD, the Chair was informed that out of 704 works 699 have been completed.

The MP was also apprised that 75 AmritSarovars were identified out of which work on 50 has been completed.

Inquiring about progress achieved on Jammu-Akhnoor Highway and Ring road projects, the MP was apprised that 99% work under package ll and 60% under package lll of Jammu-Akhnoor project has been completed. It was also informed that 79% work of Jammu Ring Road has been completed which includes 5 major bridges, 28 minor bridges and 209 culverts. The concerned official informed the Chair that remaining work would be completed within a few months.

It was further informed that out of total 6848 works under 14th FC,, 5338 have been taken up and 4990 have been completed.

Similarly, out of 154 PMGSY schemes, 135 have been completed. It was further informed that out of the total 726.84 length road, 723.61 KM has been achieved.

The MP emphasized on optimum utilization of available resources and instructed the concerned officers for close monitoring and follow- up of all ongoing development works to achieve quality parameters.

Appreciating the efforts of district administration, the MP expressed satisfaction about the overall progress of the district in the implementation of the centrally sponsored schemes. He also advised the PRI and MC members to effectively monitor and help administration in successful implementation of the schemes.

The MP directed the officers concerned to resolve the bottlenecks, if any and exhorted the officers and field functionaries to work as a team for better results and efficient delivery of services to the people.
