Block Diwas held at Wathora in Chadoora

Locals upbeat about approval of 6.5 Cr WSS scheme

Budgam :  The District Administration Budgamon Wednesday held Block Diwas at Panchayat Halqa Wathora in Block Chadoora of Budgam.

The programme was chaired by ADDC Budgam, Dr AkramullahTak.

On the occasion, DDC Member Chadoora, PRIs and others respected elders from village Wathora, Batapora, Nowbugh, Kaisarmullah and other adjacent villages apprised the ADDC about their needs. After giving patient hearing to the public, the ADDC assured that all genuine demands shall be looked into on priority.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC stressed on providing better health care facilities to the people and directed concerned health authorities to check the scope of merging the entire population of village Wathora with health Block Chadoora instead of Block Chattergam for public convenience.

He stressed on the speedy completion of ongoing developmental projects in all panchayathalqas and instructed concerned to resolve all issues on priority basis, halting the work execution.

He said that restoration work on Nowbugh Bridge be executed on a fast-track basis and diversions for smooth traffic movement be ensured for the general public.

On the occasion, the local PRIs expressed their gratitude to the District Administration Budgam for approving Rs. 6.5 crore WSS for construction of Reservoir and a filtration plant at Wathora.

ADDC directed PDD authorities to erect poles at required spots at Village Kaisarmullah and carry out improvement works of LT and HT lines on war footing.

In order to ensure a smooth supply of water, he instructed concerned officers to ensure hassle-free functioning of all WSSs.

R&B authorities were instructed to take up development and macadamization works of roads and bridges for better connectivity to the general public.

The ADDC stressed on coordination between departments and availability of field functionaries on the ground for public convenience.

He emphasized that works related to road development and improvement in education and health sectors be executed in a time bound manner for public convenience.

Meanwhile, various district officers spoke threadbare about their public welfare schemes on the occasion.

SDM Chadoora, DFO Budgam, CAHO, DSHO, CHO, AD Handicrafts, Executive Engineer PHE, Irrigation, BMO, AD FCS&CA, and other concerned officers and officials were also present on the occasion.
