Samba : Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta, on Saturday inaugurated a Custom Hiring Centre for Farm Machinery here at Border village ChakDulma, Rajpura under Aspirational Block Development Programme.
The Custom Hiring Centre under the control of local Panchayat will provide farm machineries, including Super Seeder, Laser leveler, Dome Sprayer and other Machineries to local farmers.
Deputy Commissioner Samba, while speaking on the occasion, said that Border Block Rajpura, selected under Union Government’s Aspirational Block Development Programme, is slated to get a major impetus with the felicity of Farm Mechanization and other developmental initiatives. “This customized Hiring Centre with latest Farm machineries as a community asset will prove highly beneficial for the welfare of farmers” added the DC Samba.
Farmers of the area expressed gratitude towards the district administration for taking the concrete step towards farmers’ welfare and hailed the setting up of the hiring centre in their area.
Among others present on the occasion were DDC member Asha Rani; BDC Chairman, RadheyShyam; Chief Agriculture Officer, besides others.
