Anantnag : Demonstrating responsiveness towards the plight of fire victims of Manzmo, the District Administration Anantnag disbursed an interim relief of Rs 25000 each in favour of Gulzar Ahmad Hajam and Bashir Ahmad Hajam whose residential houses were gutted in the fire incident.
Shabir Ahmad Hakeem, whose cowshed was gutted in the fire, was also provided relief of Rs 10000. In addition to this, essential kits containing utensils, blankets and items of immediate requirement were distributed among the affected families.
The fire incident had occurred at Manzmo Anantnag on the intervening night of 16th and 17th November and in the said incident, two residential houses and a cowshed were completely gutted by fire. Timely response by the fire tenders ensured that the damage due to the fire was limited from encompassing neighbouring houses.
Assessment has been done for early processing of cases.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner Anantnag expressed sympathy with the affected families while directing immediate response to the incident.
