Students of J&K Police Public School shine in On-Spot Painting Competition organised by the NHPC

Jammu : NHPC on Monday held a J&K level Painting Competition on ‘Energy Conservation – 2022’ at its Office, JDA Commercial Complex, Narwal, Jammu for two Groups of students under the directives of Bureau of Energy Efficiency, a statutory body under the Ministry of Power, Government of India to promote energy conservation in the country .

According to a statement issued from Police Media Centre, PHQ, the Group A comprises students from 5th to 7th classes and Group B comprises students from 8th to 10th classes. Students of various public and government Schools participated in the said Painting Competition. A total of 50 students each were selected for the on-Spot Painting Competition for each group.

In Group B, Raghav Toor, a Student of Class 9th A won 1st Prize of Rs. 50000/- and Rs. 2000/- for being shortlisted in the first 50 students of the Group B whereas Krish Mangotra, a Student of Class 9th A won cash prize of Rs. 2000 for being shortlisted in the first 50 students of the Group B.

Similarly, in Group A, Manjeet Kour, a Student of Class 7th B and Adarsh Bhagat, a Student of Class 5th B won Consolation Prizes of Rs.7500/- each and Rs. 2000/- each for being shortlisted in the first 50 students of the Group A.

Besides, RaghavToor, a Student of Class 9th A is also selected for the forthcoming National Level Painting Competition to be organised by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India.

The Chief Patron, Dilbag Singh, DGP J&K, Chairperson J&K PWWA/PPSs, Dr Rubinder Kaur and Administrative Officer, Mukesh Singh, ADGP Jammu Zone congratulated the Students for their outstanding performances in the event and also complimented Gourav Kumar, Art and Craft Teacher and Rajeev Sharma, Principal, J&K Police Public School, Miran Sahib, Jammu.
