Bandipora : Continuing with the efforts to register public demands, issues and to have first handapprisal of the developmental works gram Sabhas were on Tuesday organized in 44 Panchayats of the district under 2nd phase of B2V-4. Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), AtharAamir Khan Tuesday participated in a Gram Sabha at ShilvatPanchayatHalqa of Sumbal area of Bandipora as a Visiting Officer under ongoing flagship “Back to Village-4” programme to assess the development issues and needs of the people.
The Commissioner SMC interacted with PRIs, social activists, youth clubs and locals to take stock of their issues concerning welfare and development of their areas. He listened to the issues raised by the participants on the occasion. He inspected various institutions in the village and inaugurated filtration plant under JJM and sought department wise feedback on their working from the public The local people enthusiastically participated in the Gram Sabhas held across the district and expressed their views.
The visiting officers in all blocks distributed sports kits among the students and athletes,baby kita under BBBP, Soil health cards and land passbooks and artisan certificates among beneficiaries.
Subdivisional Magistrate Gurez, DrMudasir Ahmed also visited various panchayats in the Gurez valley and participated in gram Sabhas. He also reviewed the arrangements of the departments put in place for the visiting officer’s and PRIS at the Panchayats.
