Addressing a meeting of PDF workers  and prominent citizens of Khag area ,which has been recently  included in Khansahib Constituency by the Delimitation Commision , Hakeem woved to develop khag area on modern lines where people shall have all the basic facilities at par with the urban areas . The meeting was held to take stock of the prevailing socio- political scenario  in J&k and expanding the public out reach programme of PDF . Chairman DDC Budgam Nazir Ahmad Khan also attended the meeting as a special invitee. Hakeem said that both main road network and internal road linkage in Khag area was in shambles which needs to be upgraded on priority basis so that sufferings of the local people are addressed adequately . He said construction of a mecadamised road from Khag upto picturesque Tossamaidan tourist resort was imperative for reviving tourism and economic activities in the area .  PDF Chairman said since common people were unable to get thier problems solved due to the prevailing disconnect  between the people and bureaucracy  ,  the PDF workers should reach out to the people at their door steps to listen to their problems so that these could be put forth before  the concerned authorities at the highest level . He also asked the people to get their families enrolled in the voter lists in their respective areas so that they could elect MLA of  their choice as and when the Assembly elections are held in Jammu & Kashmir. Hakeem  also urged the Centre to hold assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir as early as possible so that prevailing socio- political uncertainty ends.
