Udhampur : National Highways Authority of India Udhampur Unit along with Municipal Council Udhampur on Monday organised a Walkathon under SwachchtaAbhiyan 2022, here Monday.
Deputy Commissioner, UdhampurKrittikaJyotsna flagged-off the Walkathon Rally from DC Office complex Udhampur.
Hundreds of workers of NHAI and MC Udhampur participated in Walkathon reciting slogans to educate the general public about cleanliness and hygiene. The walkathon rally finally culminated at Sports Stadium Udhampur.
Project Director, PIU-UdhampurAnuj Kumar Singh said that the motto of Walkathon was to generate awareness among the general public about the Swachhta and to mark the closing Ceremony of Special Campaign 2.0 under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan from 2nd October to 31st October, 2022.
Project Director, PIU-UdhampurAnuj Kumar Singh and CEO Municipal Council Udhampur, Dalip Kumar Abrol and other dignitaries of NHAI and MC Udhampur were also present during the Walkathon.
