Anantnag :KVK Anantnag in collaboration with Agriculture Department Anantnag Saturday organised an Awareness programme on ‘Out Scaling of Natural Farming’ at Larnu, Kokernag
In the technical session, Head KVK Anantnag, Ishtiyaq Ahmad Khan explained the benefits of Natural Farming and its future prospects. He shared his expertise and imparted knowledge to the farmers regarding how to use farm manure and other substances for natural farming.
DrIshtiyaq also spoke about various initiatives taken by the KVK Anantnag for cultivation of better and high yielding varieties through natural farming. He stressed on avoiding use of unnecessary pesticides and fertilizers, besides consulting the experts before using any kind of pesticides or fertilizers.
HDO Kokernag, DrPeerzadaFarhat discussed the benefits of natural farming and the efforts being made by Horticulture department for creating mass awareness regarding natural farming. He also spoke about various government schemes regarding Natural Farming for the development of the horticulture in Larnu area.
