Samba : Government Degree College Ramgarhon Friday organised a debate competition under the banner of ‘NashaMukt Bharat Abhiyan’.
As many as 7 students participated in the debate competition.
The event was organised by Department of Education, in collaboration with National Service Scheme unit ‘Prabha’ and Women Development Cell. The competition was organized under the supervision of Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) SatinderKaur.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal stressed on the need to spread mass awareness about the NashaMukt Bharat to weed out menace of drugs from the society. She said that the youth can be very effective in taking active part in making our society free from this evil.
The event was compeered by TamanaAttri of BA Semester-I.
The first position was secured by SnehaSalotra, second position was bagged by Arushi Sharma and third position was secured by Gayatri Devi. Trophies were also distributed among winners.
The event was judged by Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dr. ShamsherLal and Prof. RishaKumari.
Prof. Seema Sharma was the organizing secretary of the event. The organizing committee included Dr. AditiKhajuria, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dr. ShamsherLal, and Prof. RishaKumari. Faculty members and large number of students attended the event.
