Srinagar : As a mark of honour and part of commemorating the sacrifices of Police martyrs, Police in Awantipora on Thursdy organised a debate competition at Government Degree College Tral in which various students participated.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, police said that the debate Competition was on the topic “Democracy; Past, Present and Future”. In the said competition, 1st position was bagged by Amir Mohi-ud-Din R/o Saimoh Tral who was awarded with cash prize of Rs 5000/- a memento and an appreciation certificate. 2nd position was bagged by Yawar Ahad R/oTral and was awarded with cash prize of Rs 4000/- a memento and an appreciation certificate. Moreover, participation certificates were distributed among all participants.
On the occasion, SP DAR Syed Fayaz Ahmad, Principal Government Degree College Tral, SDPO Tral, SHO PS Tral besides, other civil and police officers were present. While concluding the event, Police paid rich tribute to the police martyrs who sacrificed their lives for peace and prosperity of the nation and also thanked participants for their active participation in honouring the Police Martyrs.
