Jammu : Director Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare, Jammu, K. K. Sharma on Thursday highlighted the importance of Agriculture Mechanization for bringing about another agriculture revolution by enhancing productivity as well as quality of food and non-food crops. He was addressing the officers and workers at Government Agriculture Workshop, Jammu during the celebration of Vishwakarma Day.
A Puja ceremony of Bhagwan Vishwakarma was organized by the Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu and others at the Government Agriculture Workshop, TalabTillo.
Special worship of tools and machines with special prayers for safety of the operators and workers was done followed by distribution of Prasad.
After interacting with the workers of Government Agriculture Workshop, the Director inspected the installed machines like Sheet Cutting Machine, Sheet Bending Machine, Beading Machine, Power Hammers, Sheet Rolling Machines, Swaging machines etc.
Meanwhile, Vishwakarma Puja was also held at Seed Processing Plant, Seed Multiplication Farm Chinore and Seed Multiplication Farm Chakrohi.
Joint Director Agriculture (Inputs), Jammu, Agriculture Research Engineer (ARE) and other senior officers and workers of the department also attended the programme.
