Srinagar: The District Magistrate (DM), Kulgam, in north Kashmir today issued an order banning the use of fire crackers in the district.
The order issued by DM Talat Parvez Rohella has been issued to ensure peace and public order, health and safety of the general public, an official spokesperson said this evening.
Invoking Section 144 of CrPC, the DC imposed complete ban on the sale, purchase, dumping, carrying and use of fire crackers in the district with immediate effect.
