Ramban : Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mussarat Islam on Tuesday chaired a meeting convened here Tuesday to review the functioning of Elderline implemented by HelpAge India in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Programme officer, JehangirHashmi, ACR, GiasulHaq, ACD, Ashok Singh, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Kamal Zadoo , DSWO, Rahul Gupta, Deputy Chief Education Officer, SubashChander, DYSSO, Dharamvir Singh, other senior officers and representatives of JK Elderline.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized for making the helpline popular so that the oldage persons can be assisted through this helpline. He also called for making the helpline popular during the ongoing Jan Abhiyan Campaign.
Earlier, Field Response officer, J&K Elderline, Mr. ShafiqHussain gave a power point presentation on the functioning of helpline and the areas in which the helpline shall be vital for helping the Oldage persons.
