Inter-Distt Provincial Level Kabaddi Tournament held at Gulab Garh Paddar

Kishtwar :  Inter-District Provincial Level Kabaddi Tournament for 14 year Boys was on Thursday held here at Helipad Gulabgarh Paddar.

The tournament was organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports Department Kishtwar under the direction of Director Youth Services & Sports, J&K Subash Chander Chhibber and under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. DevanshYadav.

About 120 students carved out of the teams hailing from 10 districts of Jammu province participated in the tournament.

The tournament was conducted under the guidance of District Youth Services and Sports Officer, KharatiLal Sharma.

Councellor, District Development Council Paddar, Hari Krishan Chouhan was the Chief Guest, while Tehsildar Paddar, Satish Kumar Rana; SHO, Vikram Kumar Parihar and  Sarpanch Gulab Garh Manohar Manhas were the Guests of the honour. Besides, teacher guides and the staff of the Sports department and other dignitaries also attended the Programme.

The main aim of this Tournament was to nourish the sports talent and develop team spirit among the youth.     Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Councillor appreciated the efforts of the sports Department towards harnessing the local sports talent in far flung areas and keeping the youth away from Drug abuse.
