DC Sgr holds Public Grievance Redressal camp at Ranbirgarh Pratapgarh

DM Hands over Scotties to beneficiaries, distributes Sports Kits among local Cricket Clubs, Sanction letters under PMEGP given to beneficiaries

Srinagar : In order to listen Public Grievances at their doorsteps and ensure their time bound redressal,  the Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Mohammad AijazAsadon Wednesday undertook an extensive tour of RanbirgarhPratapgarh area in the outskirts of Srinagar District and presided over a Public Grievance Redressal Camp as part of Public Outreach Programme under weekly Block Diwas.

The Programme witnessed a large participation of people RanbirgarhPratapgarh, Mirgud, Panzianra and other adjoining areas of the Tehsil Shalteng of Srinagar District.

Besides, local representatives of the Public Grievance Redressal Camp was attended by General Manager DIC, Programme Officer, ICDS, Chief Planning Officer, SDM West, TehsildarShalteng and other Zonal and Sectoral Officers of the District.

During the Grievance Redressal Camp, Public delegations and scores of individuals raised various developmental issues before the Deputy Commissioner including upgradation&macadamization of main road from highway,  infrastructure upgradation of Health centre, upgradation of Education infrastructure, replacement of electric wires, poles & portable drinking water pipes, providing of revenue records to lawful land owners, establishment of veterinary and agriculture sub centres, augmentation of drainage system & transportation facility in the area and above all resolution of jurisdictional issues in the area.

The Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing to all the grievances and demands of the public and sought on the spot response from the concerned District Officers present during the Grievance Redressal Camp.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner said the purpose of holding such grievance redressal Camps is to take appraisal of local issues from the general public for precise and on-ground assessment for time bound redressal.

On the occasion, the DC urged the local youth to come forward and avail the benefits of different welfare schemes of the Government launched for handholding of the youth so that they earn livelihood with dignity and honour.

The DC also directed for holding a special camp by the Animal Husbandry Department to sensitize people about the various livestock diseases and treatment, besides examination and administering vaccines to the animals.

In order to address jurisdictional issues of local people, the DC assured them that all possible measures will be taken at a higher level to provide respite to the people.

Similarly, the DC asked the concerned Revenue authorities to identify a suitable land within one week for construction of a Health sub centre in RanbirgarhPratapgarh so that local people are benefitted from the facility.

While responding to the demand for development of the playground, the DC assured the people that necessary measures will be taken on priority in this regard.

The DC assured the people of RanbirgarhPratapgarh and other adjoining areas that all other genuine demands and issues projected by them will be looked into on priority for their speedy redressal.

On the occasion, people of the area thanked the Deputy Commissioner for conducting a public outreach programme at RanbirgarhPratapgarh area for the first time ever and bringing Administration at the doorsteps of the people for early redressal of their grievances and issues.

During the Public Grievance Redressal Camp, the Deputy Commissioner handed over Scooties to the beneficiaries under the Prosthetic Aid scheme of the Social Welfare Department. He also distributed Sports kits among local Cricket clubs.

In order to encourage local unemployed youth to set up income generating units to earn livelihood, the DC also handed over sanction letters to PMEGP beneficiaries.

Similarly, under different schemes of the Horticulture Department, sanction letters were also given to beneficiaries for construction of Bore well and Pack Houses in the area.
