Jammu : “International Day of the Girl Child” was celebrated in the Sheep Husbandry Complex Jammu on the theme “Our time is now – Our rights, Our future” wherein all officers & officials participated in the function.
Director Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu, KrishanLal emphasized that it is time for us to stand accountable with and for the girl Child. “Let us collectively amplify their leadership, actions and impact to inspire others” he said. He impressed upon the need to give opportunity to the women to lead by putting them in the forefront in every spare of life and to hear their voices, responding to their needs and welcome them in the decision making process.
Dr. SumreenKour, Geeta Devi and SupneelKaur also expressed their views and experiences on the topic.
