Kishtwar Admin finalizes arrangements for Eid-e-Milad-Un-Nabi (SAW)

Kishtwar:  Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav, on Friday convened a meeting of officers of line departments and representatives of Majlis -e-Shoura here at Conference Hall, DC Office Complex, Kishtwar to finalize the arrangements for   Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) in the district.

The DC stressed upon the officers to provide all the requisite facilities to the devotees such as safe drinking water, sanitation, medicare facilities, adequate transport facilities and uninterrupted power supply.

He enjoined upon the AD, FCS&CA to make available adequate ration and LPG to the people. The enforcement teams were instructed to intensify market checking to keep a check on overcharging and quality of eatables.

The EO Municipal Council Kishtwar was directed to ensure lime-lining and proper sanitation in and around the shrines and mosques, lanes leading to religious places during the Milad Days.

The ARTO was asked to streamline the traffic arrangements to facilitate the devotees and ensure better transport facilities on all routes across the district, while the Health Department was asked to ensure availability of medicines, doctors, and ambulances near identified shrines/mosques and Chowgan Ground.

The DC further stressed on close coordination and synergy among the line departments for ensuring adequate arrangements for convenience of the devotees.

In the meeting, SSP Kishtwar assured adequate and foolproof security arrangements in the district and at all religious places/Chowgan Ground on the eve of Milad-Un-Nabi.

The meeting was attended by SSP, ShafqatHussainBatt; Additional District Development Commissioner, Sham Lal; ADC, KishoriLal Sharma; ACR, Varunjeet Singh Charak; ACD, AtulDutt Sharma besides other district officers and representatives of ShouraMajlis.
