DDC Doda inspects Eduinstitutions; holds public outreach camp in Thathri

Says “Nandni Mahri village to get power supply by Nov; Construction of GDC building to start soon”

Doda :  To get firsthand appraisal of public grievances and issues, District Development Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan, on Friday conducted an extensive tour of Thathri Sub Division. During the visit, the DDC visited Government Degree College, National Academy (HSS), Ex Serviceman Public Higher Secondary School, Govt Tehsil Library and interacted with PRI members, representatives of social organisations, shopkeepers, traders and other stakeholders. He listened to the issues pertaining to their area/ field. He inspected the ongoing work of Bus Stand Thathri and reviewed implementation of developmental schemes in the sub division.

During the grievances redressal camp, a wide range of public issues were resolved by the DDC with the intervention of the concerned departments.

Responding to the public demands, the DDC assured that the construction work on the Government Degree College   building will start soon. He also announced that the village   NandniMahri would be electrified by the end of November this year.

Earlier, the locals also demanded  separation of Jal Shakti and JPDCL Sub Division from Kishtwar district, Bank Branch for Phagsoo Tehsil headquarter, addressing of Traffic congestion and parking issue in the main market, Shortage of staff in GHSS Nagni and other schools and health institutions, Upgradation and blacktopping of roads, Tourism infrastructure for Jantrondhar and other areas, Repair of Jungalwar pipeline, release of pending Land compensation, release of pending Material payment under MGNREGA, release of pending 14th FC and IWMP   payments etc.

Interacting with the students, the DDC urged them to come up with innovative ideas on all the local issues including startups and economic activities/ development. He informed the youth that they can place their innovative ideas on the official website of the district, to help administration in making life in the area more convenient.

He wanted the youth to become ambassadors of peace, communal harmony and warriors against drug menace.

Responding to the demands of PRIs and the public, he said that the same have been noted and shall be taken due care by the concerned departments. He informed the public that construction of Government Degree College Thathri building shall be started soon as the SDM has ensured to resolve all issues impeding its construction. He further informed that NandniMahri village shall be electrified for the first time in the history before 15th of November this year.

The DDC instructed officers and officials to ensure that all their subordinate officials must remain present in the offices for the general public and time bound public grievances redressal.

SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, during his interaction with students, advised them to imbibe the habits of healthy lifestyle and keep themselves away from drugs and other anti national and anti social activities.

Later, the DDC paid obeisance at Lakshmi Narayan Mandir and visited Jamia Masjid Thathri where he interacted with students of local madrasa.

Among others accompanying the DDC during the visit were SSP Doda, SE PMGSY, SE PWD, SDM Thathri, ACD Doda, ACP Doda, CEO, DIO DIPR, DSWO, ARTO, CHO, CAO, CAHO, DSHO, Dy CMO, DYSSO, AD FCS & CA, DEPO Doda, Incharge Librarian Thathri, District Manager KVIB, CDPO Thathri, Ex Ens, and other district and sectoral officers of the District Administration and Sub division.
