DC Doda chairs Collectors ‘meet to discusses land acquisition, disbursement of Compensation

Directs to intensify anti-encroachment drives; ensure punctuality of staff

Doda :  Deputy Commissioner DodaVishesh Paul Mahajan on Saturday chaired a meeting of the Collectors (ADCs & SDMs)  here in his office chamber  to discuss acquisition of land for different projects and disbursement of compensation to the rightful owners

The meeting discussed the issues impeding the roads and other projects   being constructed by PMGSY, PWD, and other departments. The DC inquired about the status of land acquisition, total amount of compensation involved, disbursed, pending, and liability towards the intending departments.

Besides, he also took stock of issuance of land pass books, conduct of Girdwari and other issues being faced by the public/ revenue department.

The DC directed the Revenue Collector to submit as on date status of land acquisition and compensation awarded in their respective jurisdictions before and after 30th of October 2019, the total amount involved, paid and due pending amount He also sought the details of roads/ other projects held up due to non availability of land/ structural compensation.

Besides, the DC directed the Revenue Collectors not to entertain any indent directly as all the indents of roads and other projects shall be routed through District Collector.  He further directed that no road project henceforth shall be allowed across the district without Joint survey report.

Further the DC directed the Revenue officers to monitor the quality of works being carried out under PMGSY, JJM, RDD, PWD and other executing departments in their areas.

He asked them to monitor the ongoing Girdawari and assure that the same was being carried out by the Patwari  on the ground level.

Moreover, the DC directed the Sub registrars to display information of documents required for registration outside their offices for the information of the general public and submit the same to NIC so that it is uploaded on the district website. “Patwaris and Girdawars, if not available in the office, must put note on the office door of his/ her non availability along with reasons, time and place where he is visiting” the DC directed further. He strictly instructed that no revenue official of the district shall leave the station without the consent of the DC. He strictly instructed for time bound redressal of the public grievances.

The DC directed to intensify the anti encroachment drives in their jurisdictions on mission mode and also remove the encroachments from public utilities and along National Highways on priority basis.

The meeting was attended by ADC DodaDr R K Bharti, ADC BhaderwahChDil Mir, ACR Doda, all SDMs, HQA, DIO Doda, and other revenue officials of the DC office.
