Advisor Bhatnagar witnesses final match of BSF IFVC- 2022 at Humhama

Advisor distributes trophy, medals among winners

Budgam : Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev on Friday witnessed the final match of BSF Inter Frontier Volleyball Competition (IFVC)-2022 organised by Frontier Headquarter, BSF Kashmir at ShaheedPurohit Stadium, BSF Campus, Humhama here.
11 teams of different BSF frontiers (Kashmir, Jammu, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, South Bengal, North Bengal Guwahati, Meghalaya, Tripura, Mizoram&Cachar) participated in this mega sports event which started on 27th September and culminated Friday.
Addressing the closing ceremony of this grand event, Advisor Bhatnagar appreciated the excellent display of sportsmanship exhibited by the gallant border men during the competition. He asked them to regularly participate in such events as it keeps them stress-free as well as improves well being.
While praising BSF, the Advisor remarked that by organising these events, the force proves its worthiness and devotion at all fronts, be it operational, training or social. He also extended his best wishes to all players to perform well and enhance their skills and congratulated the players who were selected in the BSF Centre volleyball team.
The Punjab and South Bengal Frontier teams made it to the finals of the championship and South Bengal Frontier lifted the yearly BSF Inter Frontier Volleyball Championship Trophy in a very close fought match.
IG BSF, Kashmir Frontier, Raja Babu Singh, officers and all ranks of BSF, their families, school children, among others witnessed the match as well as band salute present in honour of Advisor Bhatnagar.
At the end the ceremony, an impressive March past by all the teams was held and the Advisor presented medals and trophies to the winners.
Later, the competition was declared closed by the Advisor which was followed by a Retreat and Flag handing over ceremony.
