Bandipora : As per the plan of action 2022, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bandipora in coordination with Tehsil Legal Services Committee Sumbal and in collaboration with Education Department Bandipora Wednesday conducted legal awareness programme regarding POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual offences) at Govt Degree College Ajas, here.
The programme was held under the guidance of Chairmanship of Mohammad Ibrahim Wani (Pr. District & Session Judge) Bandipora and supervision of FariqaNazir, Secretary DLSA Bandipora
Advocate Irshad Ahmad Dar and Advocate NaziaParveen panel lawyers were appointed as resource persons.
The aim of the programme was to sensitize children on POCSO related issues as Child Sexual Abuse is a major concern, which is increasing day by day and children being most vulnerable section of the society are susceptible to physical and psychological abuse.
Participants were encouraged to stand up for their own safety and security in order to prevent crime against children.
The programme was attended by Students, PLVs and other participants.
