DDC Kupwara chairs Block Diwas at Machil, Directs officers to play proactive role in redressal of  grievances

Kupwara :  The District Administration Kupwaraon Wednesday held block diwas events in various areas of the district to redress the developmental issues of the people at their doorsteps.

The mega function was held at Tehsil headquarter Machil which was chaired by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, DoifodeSagarDattatray.

BDC Chairperson Machill, GhulamRasool Khan, ACD Kupwara, ACP, CMO, CEO, LDM, CAHO, CAO, DSHO, AD Food, DSWO, BDO Machill, CDPO Kalaroose, besides, PRIs and people in large number attended the block diwas function.

Addressing the function, the DDC said that the development of far flung areas like Machil, Karnah and Keran remains the top priority of the District Administration. He directed all departments to submit their action plan focussing the development of these areas.

The DDC said that areas like Machil which are to be specially focused need special initiatives with special efforts and asked the officers to exploit their resources in reaching out to the people of these areas. He directed the officers to play proactive role in redressal of the public issues.

The DDC gave directions to the concerned block officers including BMO, CDPO, TSWO, TSO and AEEs to ensure their joint visits to Machill, 2 days in a week.  He directed TehsildarMachill to monitor the attendance of these officers.

The DDC said that there is no limit of funds under the present J&K Government and the need is only to have a will power to work on ground.

The DDC took a detailed work wise review of all departments and received feedback from the officers regarding their developmental activities in the Machill area. The departments reviewed include PMGSY, R&B, Food, Social Welfare, Bank etc.

On the occasion, the BDC Chairperson and PRIs put forth their developmental issues of their respective areas.

The DDC heard them patiently and issued on spot directions to the officers to resolve the issues raised.

Regarding Education, the DDC directed the CEO to deploy required Principal/ Headmasters in the schools of the Machil area.

The CMO was directed for deployment of required staff to the local health centres.

Regarding installation of mobile towers, the DDC directed the concern Telecom operators to start their network in the required areas.

Earlier, the DDC Kupwara, inspected various stalls installed by Animal/Sheep Husbandry, ICDS, Education, Health, JK Bank and got feedback from the departments regarding their activities.

On the occasion, the DDC distributed high yield variety seeds among 15 poly house beneficiaries. He also provided sanction letters to 4 beneficiaries under KCC Agriculture and Animal Husbandry sectors.

Block Diwas programme was also held at Natnussa in  Handwara sub division which was chaired by   ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir. BDC Chairperson, officers from administration, PRIs and people in large number attended the Block Diwas programme.

At Bhaderkote in Karnah sub division, Block diwas programme was chaired by SDM Karnah, Dr.Gulzar Ahmed Rather.

PRIs and people in large number put forth their day to day developmental issues which were redressed by the officers on the spot.
