DC Kishtwar discusses formulation of GPDP 2023-24

DM Exhorts line Deptts to ensure participation of field functionaries in mega exercise

Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar DrDevanshYadav, on Monday chaired the meeting of line departments to discuss the formulation of Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) 2023-24.

The meeting was attended by ACD, AtulDutt Sharma; DPO, Sunil Bhutyal; DSWO, Zubair Ahmed, BDOs, DYSSO, CMO, XEn REW, besides concerned officers of line departments.

At the outset, the ACD and DPO gave an insight about the guidelines to be adopted in the formulation of Gram Panchayat Development Plan.

Besides, various issues and bottlenecks faced during the process were also discussed thoroughly in the meeting.

It was informed that the Gram Sabhas for the formulation of GPDP will start from October 2, 2022 and  schedules for the same  shall be issued to all the line departments, separately.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the HODs of all line departments to submit the list of Gram Panchayat  functionaries of their  departments to the respective BDOs so that the gram sabhas are conducted in a hassle free manner  and an encumbrance free GPD-Plan is formulated as per the formats pertaining to their respective sectors.

Further, all the concerned  departments were instructed to chalk out the plans in convergence mode and reflect only feasible works in the plan, besides take PRIs on board in the exercise of plan formulation.

The DC exhorted the HODs to incorporate the local need based works in the plan besides ensure judicious utilization of funds

Meanwhile, DC Kishtwar also directed the departments to chalk out awareness activities to be conducted under NashaMukht Bharat Abhiyan in each Panchayat during  gramsabhas.
