Kishtwar : An Inter Zonal District Level Athletic meet was on Saturday organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports (YSS) Kishtwar under the patronage of the Director Youth Services & Sports Subash Chader Chibber and Joint Director Youth Services & Sports Jammu, Atul Kumar.
The event was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner, Dr. DevanshYadav as the chief guest, here on the Chowgan Grounds.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC Kishtwar advised the participating students to maintain team spirit, cooperation and coordination while participating in the sports competitions.
He said that these skills learned during the sports activities also help in different phases of life, like in academics or future career.
On the occasion, an anti-drug Pledge was administered to the participants and teachers by the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar under the banner of NashaMukt Bharat.
Meanwhile, scores of officials were deputed for the successful conduct of the field and track events. Boys and Girls athletes of U-14, U-17 & U-19 age group participated in the field and track events of the meet.
A good number of students from Government and private schools of all Five Zones of District Kishtwar participated in the mega event. Throwing & jumping events were also organized in this mega event.
