Kulgam : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Dr.BilalMohi-Ud-Din Bhaton Friday chaired a meeting of Officers of PDD and reviewed implementation of Amnesty Scheme of PDD for domestic consumers having arrears of more than Rs.10k.
It was informed that under this scheme consumers shall have to pay only the principal amount and all surcharges shall be waived off after successful payment of basic principal amount. Besides, the consumer can also pay his basic principal amount in installments up to a maximum of 12 installments.
Dr Bilal impressed upon the concerned to make wide publicity of the scheme through various mediums so that all domestic consumers eligible for amnesty are able to take advantage of this scheme.
The DDC directed the Officers of Revenue department and Block Officers to facilitate the smooth implementation of consumer friendly amnesty scheme across the district.
Executive Engineer KPDCL, Tehsildars, BDOs, AEEs and other officers also participated in the meeting.
