Kishtwar : To aware the farmers and general people about the Agriculture and allied sector schemes in convergence under Project SAMPAN, two day long awareness camps were organized here at far flung Aspirational Blocks of Marwah and Warwan, under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Dr Devansh Yadav and under the close supervision of GM DIC, Dr Mohammad Ashraf.
During the camps, the participants were acquainted with the centrally sponsored schemes meant for the uplift of farmers and orchardists.
The concerned district officers and field functionaries of various departments urged the participants especially youth to come forward and avail the benefits of Agriculture and allied sectors schemes as this District is having tremendous scope of Agriculture and allied sectors.
The people appreciated the efforts of the Agriculture and Allied Department for providing the designated services at their doorstep, besides expressing satisfaction over the efforts of field functionaries of various departments in extending the benefits of different CSSs on the ground level.
During the camp awareness programmed under Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan were also launched and lectures were given at GHSS Afti and GDC Marwah, where the students were educated about the hazardous effects of Drug abuse menace.
The students were sensitized to remain away from this menace as it is engulfing the student community badly.
