DDC Kulgam reviews progress under Distt Capex Plan 22-23

Kulgam : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhaton Thursday chaired a meeting of officers to review the progress of works under the District Development Plan/ District Capex budget for the year 2022-23 at conference Hall of the DC Office Complex, here.

During the meeting, the DDC took sector wise review and progress of works in Education, RDD and PDD, Irrigation, YS&S, Health and other sectors under District Capex.

Dr Bilal took a detailed review of allotment of works, works started on ground and works completed, tendering and other related issues. He directed officers to achieve the completion targets of the works and ensure expenditure of funds released.

He asked officers to personally monitor the quality and progress of all allotted works and also stressed upon them to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of ongoing works for their time-bound completion.

During the meeting, it was informed that 2535 works are approved under District Capex for financial year 2022-23 and more than 1937 works have been allotted.

ACD briefed the chair that there are 1742 works in the RDD sector in District plan 2022-23 and Administrative approval has been given to 1605 works and 1520 works stands tendered and nearly 250 works stand completed.

The DDC directed the concerned to immediately tender out works that have administrative approval and set deadlines for completion of all started works.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, JD- Planning, ACD, CMO Ex. Engineer PHE, PDD REW, and other officers.

The District Development commissioner also reviewed the progress made with regard to implementation of Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP) in D.K.Marg and Manzgam Blocks.

He took review of sector wise activities being carried out by the Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal husbandry, RDD, Education and other Departments in these Blocks under ABDP based on various performance indicators covering various aspects including Poverty, Health & Nutrition Education and Basic Infrastructure development etc.

The DDC exhorted upon the officers of line and works departments to work in coordinated manner for effective implementation of the programme at grassroots level. He said the ABDP is a timeline-based programme and requires execution of all activities at a fast pace.

He also called for fulfilling all quantifiable indicators under ABDP to undertake developmental activities in each identified Block in the District.

He further asked the concerned Departments to adopt best practices so as to get tangible results on ground in a time bound manner.
