Anantnag : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, Dr BasharatQayoomon Tuesday held a meeting with the officers of NHIDCL to review the progress of SingporaVailoo Tunnel approach road.
The DDC was apprised about the project cost, completion status, type of land acquired, land measurements, compensation etc.
Issues related to SinghporaVailoo approach, grievances raised during the marking exercise, preparation of revenue records, compensation, alignment change at graveyards etc were also discussed.
The DDC directed the officers to sort out all the issues related to this road as soon as possible as the project will ensure regular connectivity between Jammu and Kashmir divisions and will reduce the travel time by two hours besides boosting economic activity in the areas it passes through.
The review meeting was attended by General Manager Land Acquisition GhMohd Dar, General Manager Projects R N Sharma, ADC Gulzar Ahmad, SDM Kokernag, TehsildarKokernag, Manager NHIDCL among others.
