Kulgam :The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.BilalMohi-Ud-Din Bhaton Fridayinaugrated Inter Zonal District level U/14 and U/17 and U/19 Girls Netball tournament at Sports Stadium, here.
Present on the occasion were President Municipal Council Kulgam, besides ADC, ACR, DYS&SO and other officers.
The tournament was organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports Kulgam under the banner of NashaMukta Bharat Abiyaan and was participated by more than 180 participants of the District.
The DC said that District Administration has taken concerted efforts to devlop sports infrastructure across the district and has developed near about 200 playfields in the district.
He added that efforts are afoot for further improvement and augmentation of sports infrastructure to provide best possible sports infrastructure to Youth and sports lovers of the district.
Dr Bilal on the occasion interacted with the participants of ongoing cricket League which has being organized by District police, Municipality Council Kulgam in collaboration with Department of District Youth services and sports Kulgam.
He also interacted with girls who are participating in Women Cricket League.
