DDC Chairperson G’bal inspects progress on Awanpati road; inspects functioning of HSS Hariganiwan

G’bal : The District development Council (DDC) Chairperson Ganderbal, Nuzhat Ishfaq on Monday took an extensive tour of various areas of Kangan Sub-Division to inspect ongoing projects.
During the visit, the DDC Chairperson visited Awanpati, Bajpathri, Hariganiwan and other areas. She inspected the progress of AwanpatiHariganiwan road being executed by PMGSY which was approved at the cost of around Rs 14 crore.
On the occasion, the Executive Engineer PMGSY briefed her about the status of work progress on the said road. She directed him to expedite the progress of work so that the project gets completed within the stipulated time frame.
Meanwhile, the locals raised several issues including land compensation in lieu of land that has come under the said road project and dearth of staff in PHC Hariganiwan.
NuzhatIshfaq assured them that the issues raised would be taken up with the concerned authorities for early redressal.
Meanwhile, the DDC chairperson visited Higher Secondary School Hariganiwan and inspected its functioning. She was apprised about various issues there including construction of Boundary wall and main gate and staff deficiency.
The DDC Chairperson assured the locals that the issues raised will be discussed with the concerned department for their timely redressal.
Meanwhile, the DDC Chairperson also inaugurated the Tug of War at HSS Hariganiwan in which students of HSS participated.
SDM Kangan, Executive Engineer PMGSY, TehsildarKangan, Sarpanchs, Panchs and locals accompanied the DDC Chairperson during the visit.
