CBC Jmu hosts 3-Day Multimedia Exhibition in Poonch

Poonch : Taking forward the Series of Outreach Programmes Under the aegis of ‘AzadiKaAmritMahotsav’, the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Regional Office Jammu. J&K and Ladakhon Saturday organized a 3 Day Multimedia Exhibition in the border area Poonch.
The Outreach Programme was organised with the aim to generate mass awareness regarding the ongoing campaign of AzaadiKaAmritMahotsav by the bureau.
The 3 day Multimedia Exhibition was inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, Dr. BasharatHussain.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Hussain said that the spirit of Patriotism must be kept alive for the development of the nation. While appreciating the efforts of CBC, Jammu for displaying the Exhibition here in the border area, Dr. Hussain said that the pictorial representation of the Freedom Fighters have more impact on people, especially students.
In his address, Ghulam Abbas, Joint Director, Central Bureau of Communication, J&K and Ladakh region said that AzaadiKaAmritMahotsav campaign is an opportunity to celebrate achievements and identify the unaccomplished dreams. Abass further added that “Every person can serve the nation at its own level by performing his duties with honesty and dedication. He further said that the real patriotism in the message of AKAM Campaign is to realize our responsibilities for the development of society at large.
Prof. Mushraf Shah, Principal Government Degree College, Poonch while delivering an address during the event said that celebrations of the 75 Years of Independence gives us an opportunity to remember the sacrifices, Contributions and freedom Struggle made by the heroes of the Indian Freedom Movement.
While delivering an address on AzaadiKaAmritMahotsav, Man Mohan Singh, Sr. Lecturer DIET Poonch urged the students to carry forward the work for the development of the nation.
KhursheedYousuf, Field Publicity Officer, Field Office, Udhampur presented an overview, structure and working of the CBC, J&K during the event. He said that CBC is engaged in generating awareness in rural, far flung and Media Shadow zones regarding the Welfare Schemes of Government of India.
Others present during the event were Khalid Hussain, Programme Officer, ICDS, Poonch; Ranjeet Singh, Station House Officer, Poonch; Gurnaam Singh, In charge CBC Field Office, Rajouri; Rajesh Sharma, In charge CBC, zero Field Office, Doda, besides Teachers, representatives from Health department, District Industries Center, Poonch and police.
During the event Drawing/ Painting Competition, Open Quiz Competition, Patriotic Songs, on AzadiKaAmritMahotsav was also organised to generate awareness of these components and to motivate masses to become part of these campaigns.
CBC, Regional Office, Jammu installed informative standees on AzaadiKaAmritMahotsav for the awareness of the people. Cultural Programmes showcasing the importance of AzadiKaAmritMahotsav celebrations enthralled the audience.
Earlier, similar outreach Programs were organised in the districts of Kathua, Doda, Leh, Ramban, Rajouri, Anantnag, and Baramulla.
