DC Kulgam chairs DLRC meet

Kulgam: To review the performance of Banks and line Departments for current financial year, quarter ended June 30, 2022 under Annual Credit Plan and Govt Schemes, a meeting of District Level Review Committee /District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) was Thursday held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.BilalMohi-Ud-Din Bhat at mini-secretariat, here on Thrusday.

The Meeting was attended by JD-Planning ACD, DM Industries and DDM NABARD besides District officers of line departments and District Coordinators of various banks.

At the outset, Lead District manager (LDM) Parvez Rashid welcomed the members and revealed that deposits of Banks stand at Rs 2119.70 Crores as on 30 June, 2022 witnessing growth of 7.38 percent over June 2021, Advances stand at Rs.1818.22 cr as on 30 June, 2022 witnessing growth of 10 percent over June 2021. The Credit Deposit Ratio at 85.80 percent stood quite above the National BenchMark of 60 percent.

Under District Annual Credit Plan (2022-23) of Rs.1538.06 Cr, Banks have disbursed Rs.287.12 Cr to 12060 beneficiaries during CFY of quarter ended June 30, 2022 thus achieving 19 percent of ACP target.

The DC while reviewing sector wise achievements advised Banks to improve credit dispensations in Agriculture, MSME, and more focus should be given to housing and education sectors.

He also reviewed progress made under various employment generation schemes including PMEGP, JKREGP, Artisans/Weavers Credit Card and PM Weavers Mudra Scheme etc.

It was also informed that the district has disbursed 125 vehicles under Mumkin Scheme and sponsored 46 Tejaswini cases till date.

The DC impressed upon the line departments and banks to cover all eligible persons under PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY.

The DC directed the Chief Education Officer to conduct financial awareness programmes in the schools and colleges of the district and ensure participation by banks.
