Ramban: Deputy Inspector General of Police Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban range, Dr. Sunil Gupta on Wednesday inaugurated a mini nest at Karol Ramban.
This mini nest built by NHAI has roadside facilities including a canteen, passenger shed, and restrooms for men and women.
The facility has been handed over to district police Ramban to operate it.
It is pertinent to mention here that district police Ramban has taken this initiative for the welfare of families of police martyrs who have laid down their precious lives in the service of this nation. The profit accrued out of this venture would be shared with the families of martyrs.
The DIG DKR, while appreciating the efforts of district police Ramban, particularly SSP Mohita Sharma said “ This brainchild of SSP will certainly contribute a lot towards the welfare of destitute families of our martyrs. And it will also provide a sigh of relief to the defense personnel and civilians, who regularly commute on this national highway.”
Others present at the inaugural function included President MC Ramban, SunitaSumbria; DDC Member, RenukaKatoch; ADC Ramban, HarbansLal; ASP, Rajni Sharma and members of civil society. The general public of Ramban appreciated this initiative of district police Ramban.
