Kathua : Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of projects being executed by PWD (R&B), PMGSY, JKPCC and Forest departments here at DC office Complex on Tuesday.
The DC reviewed the progress of works taken up under different schemes and directed the concerned to expedite the completion of the schemes within set timelines.
While reviewing the achievements under the PMGSY sector, the DC directed the officers to closely pursue forest clearance so that the road projects proposed for the district are completed in a time bound manner. He also called for removing bottlenecks to achieve set target works within stipulated time.
The DC impressed upon the concerned officer to execute utility shifting work and also laid thrust on ensuring early tendering and allotment of all identified works.
Regarding the pending works, the DC called upon the concerned officers to fix responsibility of the contractor to avoid unnecessary delays on their part.
The DC directed XEN PWD (R&B) & DGM JKPCC to speed up the Juthana Bridge and Hatli Road link as they are vital projects of public importance.
The meeting was attended by CPO, DFO, Engineers of PWD Div Kathua, Basohli, CEO, XEN PMGSY Div Billawar, Kathua and other district officers.
