DC Doda reviews functioning of line Depttsat introductory meeting

DM asks officers to gear up for achieving developmental targets

Doda : Deputy Commissioner DodaVishesh Paul Mahajan, on Tuesday chaired an introductory meeting of the District and Sectoral officers here in the conference hall of DC Office Doda and reviewed the developmental scenario of the District and functioning of line departments.

The Chief Planning Officer Doda presented a detailed powerpoint presentation, highlighting the achievements recorded in the current financial year under Central and UT Schemes , NABARD, JJM, PMGSY, District Capex, Social Security sector, PMAY, MGNREGA, 14th FC, implementation of welfare schemes, besides physical and financial status of the ongoing mega projects in the district.

The DC, after reviewing each sector, set deadlines for each department. He directed the concerned officers to achieve the set targets as per the deadline and devise a component wise pert chart to facilitate close monitoring   of the developmental works. He further directed the SDMs to keep a tab on the implementation of welfare schemes and execution of projects in the areas under their jurisdiction.

With regard to Social security schemes, the DC directed the concerned to organize awareness camps across the district in coordination with PRIs and other departments to encourage people at grassroots level to take benefit of the same.

Emphasising the importance of the Education sector, the DC directed the Chief Education Officer to enforce punctuality of teachers in the schools and take corrective measures to minimize the dropout rate. The SDMs and Tehsildars were directed to conduct regular inspection of the educational institutions in their respective areas.

The CMO was directed to take measures to improve patient care and sanitation conditions in the health institutions of the district and focus on availability of an adequate number of Doctors and paramedics.

Earlier in the morning, the DC also held an introductory meeting of sectoral officers of Sub District Bhaderwah and conducted a surprise inspection of Sub District Hospital  Bhaderwah.

During inspection, the DC complimented the staff of SDH for keeping the premises clean. He   asked the BMO to put out the contact numbers of Doctors and other paramedics at the entrance of the Hospital for the convenience of the general public and to ensure availability of staff as per the duty roster.

Later, a public delegation met with the DC  and demanded filling of vacant posts of doctors in SDH.  The DC assured to take up the matter with the concerned authorities.

Among others present were SSP Doda,ADDCDoda, ADC Doda, ADC Bhaderwah, ASP Bhadarwah, Rector University Campus, Principal GDC Bhaderwah ,PO ICDS, GM DIC, SDMs and representative officials of other departments.
