Mission Amrit Sarovar: DDC Ang inaugurates ponds at Qulam Chinar, Badasgam

Anantnag : As part of the “AzadiKaAmritMahotsav, the District Development Commissioner (DDC), Anantnag, DrPiyushSinglaon Saturdayinaugrated two ponds at Doru Shahabad subdivision.
DDC Member, DoruShahbad; ACD Anantnag, BDO Shahabad and other PRIs were also present on the occasion.
These ponds, one at QulamChinar and another at Badasgam in Block Shahbad under Mission AmritSarovar for preserving the natural water bodies were renovated by RDD’s Block Office Shahbad, Doru.
At QulamChinar, DDC while addressing the gathering said that our collective efforts shall be channeled towards devoting ourselves for the service of the nation.
The DDC while discussing the importance of Mission AmritSarovar for the preservation of natural water resources including ponds said that the District Administration is keen to preserve and renovate all the existing and depleted water resources in the district.
At the inauguration function of the renovated pond at Badasgam, he interacted with locals and thanked them for celebrating the AzadikaAmritMohatsav and HarGharTiranga wholeheartedly with patriotic fervour. On the occasion, students presented the National Anthem.
