Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: Diverse activities, massive participation witnessed in ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign at Shopian

Shopian : Multifarious activities conducted by different departments are in full swing across the district to instill momentum in the national campaign of ‘Har ghar Tiranga’ for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations in the district.
Painting Competitions and National Anthem singing and essay competitions, quiz programmes, debates and seminars have been organised in Govt. Degree Colleges and schools of the district.
The School Education department has been at the forefront in carrying out massive Tiranga rallies and national anthem singing competitions. It has taken headway in organizing these activities so as to prepare for the Independence Day celebrations.
Students are proactively participating in the events and are excited to participate in upcoming Independence Day celebrations.
Similarly, MC Shopian is also engaged in ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ celebrations. The MC has decorated the town with colorful Banners and paintings of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and has also painted walls of government buildings and bridges with Tiranga. The Clock Tower in the heart of Town has been lit with Tricolour and is wearing a shining look. GDCs are also highlighting the significance of National Symbols, National Monuments, Freedom Struggle and other related topics. Various departments are also organising awareness programmes on the issue, highlighting the importance of the campaign. Government offices have hoisted tricolor on its buildings across the district.
Cultural programmes, including Nukkad Nataks are also being organised by the Departments to engage local populace and PRIs in the I-Day celebrations. Similarly, Poshan Mission in its AWCs have been involved in drawing of tiranga competitions and holding rallies in the villages.
“Har Ghar Tiranga Rally” was also organized at Sub-Division Headquarter Zainapora. SDM Zainapora and Tehsildar Zainapora along with Tehsil officers/Sectoral officers of various government departments participated in the Rally from SDM office to main market Zainapora. Hundreds of people including government employees participated in the rally.
