DC Udhampur presides over weekly Block Diwas Function at CFC Chenani

Udhampur :Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, KrittikaJyotsnaon Wednesday listened to public issues at the weekly Block Diwasprogramme held at Community Facility Centre Tehsil Headquarter Chenani.
At the outset, the SDM Chenani welcomed the DC, ADDC and other participants in the Block Diwas, while Block Development Officer presented a brief on the developmental profile of Chenani Block and requested the PRIs members to put forth their demands and issues.
BDC Chairman, Chenani, Parkash Chand; DDC member, Usha Devi; Sarpanches, Panches and public adjoining Panchayats projected scores of demands and problems. They demanded utilization of vacant Agriculture building in Kud, construction of 2 Foot bridges near PWD Hut Kud in ward No 5, Construction of Hume pipe culvert on Champari to Chenani road, speedy tendering of T/Road sanctioned under CDF Funds, meeting shortage of staff in Government High School Ghantwal, Construction of Road from Ghantwal to Panchari, KV School for Mantalai, Implementation of JJM, Construction of PanchayatGhar, Land Compensation to the Farmers, holding of Health Mela on every month, Power Tiller for community use, flood protection work, Establishment of health Sub centre at Bupp, Compensation for the houses removed for NH Chenani to Sudhmahadev, Opening of Bank branch at Matlowa, Construction of Footbridge over River TawiKothru to ParlahaMatlowa.
Responding to the demands, the DC assured the public that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner. The DC directed the officers to work in coordination for equitable development of all Panchayats.
The DC directed concerned officers to resolve the genuine demands of the public on priority and submit the detailed report of pending issues so that the same were projected to higher authorities for consideration.
SarpanchNagulta thanked the administration for resolving the long pending and urgent demands of the people by constructing a bridge.
Later, the DC interacted with the farmers and handed-over two maize Shellers to the beneficiaries.
