ADDC Poonch reviews performance of Ground Water Depttunder Distt Capex Budget 22-23

Officers directed to expedite JalJeevan Mission schemes

Poonch : Additional District Development Commissioner Poonch Abdul Sattaron Monday reviewed the progress of different schemes being implemented by Ground Water Drilling Division Jammu under District Capex 2022-23.
At the outset, the Executive Engineer Ground Water Drilling Division Jammu informed that out of 188 schemes, till now 50 schemes stands completed and against the target of installation of 383 hand pumps in the district, around 101 have been installed at different locations.
It was further informed that Ground Water Drilling Division Jammu has set a target of the completion of 60% of total work by or before 30th of September 2022 and rest 40 % by or before 31st of December 2022.
The ADDC Poonch asked the officers/officials present in the meeting to work with more zeal and dedication to achieve the targets set under Distt Capex2022-23 in a time bound manner to avoid lapse of funds . He further stressed that providing potable water to the people of far flung villages and Panchayats has been tagged as top priority by the LG administration.
Highlighting the importance of the flagship scheme of JalJeevan mission, the ADDC asked for expediting the AAA, TS tendering and allotment process so that District Poonch does not lag behind in achieving the targets.
The meeting was attended by Executive Engineer Ground Water Drilling Division Jammu, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti (PHE) Division Poonch, AEE (Mechanical) Jal Shakti (PHE) Subdivision Poonch, AEE Jal Shakti (PHE) Subdivision Poonch, Technical Officer Hydraulic Circle Poonch, AEE (Mechanical) Ground Water Drilling Division Jammu and Junior Engineers.
