ADGP Armed Police felicitates Ravees Ahmad for his spectacular performance in 19th World Pencak Silat Championship

Srinagar : S.J.M Gillani-IPS, ADGP Armed J&K Police, on Monday felicitated J&K Police Pencak Silat player Ravees Ahmad for his successful participation in 19th World Pencak Silat Championship 2022 held at Melaka, Malaysia in which 46 Countries had participated. This event was organized by Ministry of Malaysian Government from 26th July to 31st July 2022.
According to a statement issued from Armed Police Headquarters, an impressive felicitation ceremony was held in APHQ J&K Srinagar on Monday to felicitate Ravees Ahmad for his impressive performance in the championship by representing J&K Police.
In the championship, Ravees Ahmad was the only player from Jammu & Kashmir Police among the total 36 players of team India from different State/UT of the Country. He was sponsored by Indian Pencak Silat Federation affiliated by International Pencak Silat Federation (PERSILAT), Asian Pencak Silat Federation (APSIF), South Asian Pencak Silat Fedearion (SAPSF) recognized by Ministry of youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India, Sports Authority of India, School Games Federation of India, Association of Indian Universities, All India Police Sports Control Board.
Ravees Ahmad, Head-Constable J&K Armed Police, is presently functioning as Coach in Pencak Silat Central Sports team of Jammu & Kashmir Police.
According to the concluding para of the above referred statement, the felicitation function was attended by Dronachariya Awardee Kuldeep Handoo-DySP (Sports), Nissar Ahmad-Inspr. Incharge CST and Mohd Hussain ASI(M) Incharge Sports Section APHQ J&K.
