Jammu : The security forces on Wednesday evening destroyed an explosive shell that was recovered from Sandote village of Balakote in Mendhar sub division.
Officials said that an explosive shell, believed to be an old one fired from Pakistan, was found in the village on Wednesday afternoon following which police was informed.
A team of army and police reached the spot and the area was cordoned.
“Bomb Disposal Squad of Army later destroyed this explosive shell through a controlled explosion,” the officials said
