Jammu : Directorate of School Education Jammu organized a Mega Parent Teacher Meet in all the Government Schools of Jammu Division on the theme ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ as a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to encourage parents and students to hoist the National Flag of India at their homes during Independence Day Celebration week from 13th-15th August, 2022.
More than 1 lakh students and parents were sensitized in the Mega PTM.
Under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Programme, the Ministry of Education, Government of India directed all the states and UTs to organize Parent Teacher Meet on the theme Har Ghar Tiranga. All children, teachers and non-teaching staff in the schools were encouraged to hoist the national flags at their respective homes.
Director School Education Jammu, Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma appreciated the efforts of Heads of the Institutions and Counselling Cell, DSEJ for conducting the parent teacher meet smoothly throughout the division and keeping the stakeholders motivated, informed and prepared. He said that vigilant and informed parents can encourage their wards to invest quality time in learning and developing moral values which is an important part of NEP as well.
PTM has become a regular feature in Government Schools of Jammu Division and this month every government institution in Jammu Division (HSS, HS, MS & PS) held Parent Teacher Meet on the theme ”Har Ghar Tiranga” Programme along with routine academic and context specific themes through offline mode. The event was coordinated by Counselling cell DSEJ through District Counselling Coordinators, Zonal Counselling Coordinators, Faculty Counsellors, and District Nodal Officers.
Monthly PTM has emerged as a best practice of Directorate in which thousands of stakeholders interact to discuss various contemporary issues faced by the students, making the teaching learning process more and more beneficial for all the stakeholders and engaging the parents directly on one to one basis at school level.
