This was followed by the concluding remarks about the conference by Prof. Yasmeen Ashai, Director Colleges.

Rakesh Badyal, Special Secretary, HED, J&K, in his address, informed the participants that 19-B.Voc Programmes will start in 16 identified colleges from this session.
“Similarly, 14 GDCs have been identified to establish CIIITs under the Hub/Spoke model which will be beneficial for vocational education in J&K. IIT and IIM Jammu, will also develop 10 incubation centres in Degree Colleges under Hub/Spoke Model” he added.
Prof. Umesh Rai, Chief Guest, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu, in his Valedictory address said that entire NEP is based on Gandhian thought of education ie. Mind, Body and Spirit.
“Education is directly connected with the ‘Nature’ & ‘Society.’ Application of Information Technology, Mathematical Ability, and Analytical and Communication skill should be made mandatory in the curriculum of HEIs to make good foundation of the students” he emphasised. He concluded his note by saying that financial autonomy should be given to Universities and Colleges to move towards excellence. This was followed by cultural Bonanza that included Classical Music, Jagarna (cultural dance) and Ghomar dance by girls from various colleges.
The Valedictory Session concluded with a “Vote of Thanks” by Prof. Sugandha Mahajan, Dept. of Botany, P.S.P.S. Govt. PG College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
