Water is a substance composed of the chemical elements oxygen and hydrogen. It exists in solid, liquid and gaseous state; it is the most important element for the preservation of life. Though water is available in plenty on the earth,But it is a finite commodity which, if not managed properly, will result in shortages in the near future. Water conservation is an effective step and can go a long way to avoid these impending shortages. Water covers 70% of our planet, and it is easy to think that it will always be plentiful. However, freshwater—the stuff we drink, bath in, irrigate our farm fields with—is incredibly rare. Only 3% of the world’s water is freshwater, and two-thirds of that is tucked away in frozen glaciers or otherwise unavailable for our use. With increasing population rates and such a small percentage of all the water on Earth fit for consumption, we don’t bother to save this precious gift to mankind by the supreme Authority, we people have left no stone unturned to pollute this very precious resource, it only makes sense that we must preserve and conserve this precious resource and it becomes pertinent for us to duly conserve and preserve this very precious need. But what in reality , do we really care about this precious resourse to conserve it and avoid to pollute it , NO! . Taking care of water should be our utmost priority throughout the world. we people have totally neglected the preservation and conservation of our water bodies ,though we people know that the water is essential for life ,and it plays an important role in our all daily activities like bathing ,cooking ,drinking and washing etc and besides there is still a shortage and scarcity of water in many places of the world , according to the 2019 united nations world water development programme.Over two billion people experience high water stress, while four billion suffer from a serious shortage of water at least for at least one month of the year. It is a serious and a big issue to pollute water bodies as this resource needs every one, without this resource we can’t survive as air is important for our survival similarly next to air the water is important for our survival ,without water we people can’t have food, we people can’t have vegetation the world will just resemble to a brownish dot instead of blue and a green one. Pollution of water has adverse effects on health, environment, economy, etc. the point here is that in our valley we have been noticing that the people Unfortunately at some laces directly dump the garbage into the water bodies like streams etc , and even some of the people with dumping the routine garbage’s and the dust into the water bodies also dump the used medicine instruments and the expired medicines into the water bodies that in turn causes a huge damage to the human lives and in turn also to the aquatic life in the water bodies. So It is a very bad idea to flush any kind of pills, chemicals or powder medications or drugs down the toilet or crush them in your kitchen sink disposal or dumping them in any water body . They have adverse effects on fish and other aquatic wildlife. Follow a safe way for proper disposal of all types of medical wastes. Accumulation of toxic waste in water bodies is a threat to the entire food chain through plants and animals that feed on it. Despite increased environmental awareness, people still are polluting the environment and this negligence would have harsh consequences in the future.
Polluted water bodies cause diseases that are all around us. Yet most people have no awareness of this grave issue at hand. It is actually the we people who had to take the responsibility and it is not only the government that has the responsibility; we can contribute a lot to the pollution free water bodies and hence water, Many things can be done by a common citizen to reduce water pollution. Almost Each and every one of us is responsible either by one or other way for the present environmental situation and therefore, we must take responsibility to bring about a change in it. If we all don’t start acknowledging the fact that water pollution is a real problem, and besides we should also acknowledge to save this precious resource , we should also lookout for leakages in our pipe supply in our houses, we should not unnecessarily waste the water , and it for sure won’t be an invisible threat for long. Huge companies that have no regard for the health of the environment are already doing immense damage; we shouldn’t add to it. Instead, we should all be more vocal for the cause of environmental awareness, including that of water pollution. And aside from raising awareness we should all start changing our lifestyle in ways that can positively affect the environment. We can contribute to the eradication of the water pollution in a no. of ways in our daily. The best way to clean the polluted water is not to clean the polluted water but to stop polluting. We should act as a responsible citizens if we people have spent our life we should also care for the generations to come they should not face the water crisis in view of polluting it and not preserving it , besides Parents should educate children about simple water-saving methods and about the effects of water pollution on their future. We people should get aware of water scarcity issues and the impact of water conservation practices and the proper use. We should also take a pledge and join hands for water conservation. A small effort from everyone can lead to a big change, just as small drops of water together form the huge ocean. We know that the climate situation is making the situation worse, there is less and less water available. So we need to act together to resolve this matter as the water is available limited, we need to preserve and conserve it ,so the degradation and the contamination of water means that this resource is getting more scarcer for use. So let’s pledge all that we will not put the waste into the streams, rivers and lakes etc.try to help to clean the garbage you see on the water body sides and through it at the proper places meant for the same. take all the actions that help to stop this pollution of water that can affect the availability of the water.
